Connect with Careforce
Careforce Community Services (CCS) operates with a very simple philosophy; if we can create opportunities for people by developing their life and work skills and in the process build solid and genuine relationships, we can help transform people's lives.
This and our work to improve environmental sustainability has become the cornerstone of our connection into the wider community.
Simply everything we do is with the aim of doing life with everyday people and helping one another on that journey.

Christmas is a special time of year. But it's also a hard time for a lot of families. Each year Careforce Church partners with Careforce Community Services to purchase food and toys for those in our community who struggle to provide for their families at Christmas. Food hampers are arranged and gifts for boys and girls up to age 16 are distributed to hundreds of our neighbours. With everyone's help, we can continue to put the Christ in Christmas for our local community.

The words of Christ in Matthew 25: 41-46 often come to mind when thinking about those who live in our community who are significantly less fortunate than us. These scriptures best sum up the reason why we operate a community based ministry!
In our comfortable homes it is difficult to comprehend that in a nation as affluent as ours there are people in our own community who are sleeping rough and often without food.
Since 2008, Careforce Church has been running Foodstop every Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm near the Lilydale showground. Many faithful volunteers come together to distribute food on the streets of our own community, connecting with the homeless and offering any available assistance we can. So why don’t you join us on one of our volunteer teams? Let not Christ say to us, ‘For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat.’ Volunteers meet at the Chapel Restaurant each Thursday night at 6.15pm.

Emergency Food Relief
One of the prime activities of CCS is to provide emergency food parcels and other basic essential services such as fuel and pharmacy vouchers for those in our neighbourhood who are significantly less fortunate than ourselves. We work hard at giving a ‘hand up’ rather than a ‘hand out’.
CCS is recognised as one of the primary food relief agencies in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, distributing up to 20 food parcels per day. Our desire is to see people equipped with life skills that will help them to break the cycle of poverty, addiction & dependency. It’s about putting a sense of value back into their lives & reinstating their place as a worthwhile and valued member of society.
